Weston have built up quite the rivalry with Bishopston over the years, and this game was no exception.

Having won the toss and electing to have a bowl, the decision looked a good one as the conditions meant to ball was moving making it difficult for the batters. Lachie Bailey (3-28) struck in the 3rd over to remove the opener Otwani, and Harvey Richards (1-18) followed suit shortly afterwards to bring another new batter to the crease, leaving Bishopston 2-10 in the 6th over.

O'Brien and Slade tried to rebuild but wickets fell at regular intervals as the bowling changes challenged the batters, with several making good starts but failing to push on. Shabel Ahmed (3-16) and Bailey were the pick of the bowlers taking three a piece as Cunningham (1-13) and Gadsden (2-29) also chipped in to see Bishopston bowled out for 119.

In return, chasing a small total proved to be slightly more difficult than anticipated as both Weston openers found themselves dismissed in the first over. Tahmid Ahmed (17) and Bailey (30) then settled the nerves as they constructed a good base for Tom Hall (13*), Cunningham (24) and Belcher (11*) to see the side home in the 30th over with 5 wickets in hand.
