Fancy joining the Exec?

As another cricket season draws to a close we are starting to look forward. We already have a busy winter planned, with key fundraising events for the club including Beach Race Parking and Fireworks Night, and club socials such as the Club Dinner and the ever popular Christmas Quiz.

We are currently going through the handover process for our new treasurer, Yvonne Dolphin-Cooper, and are welcoming a new Wellbeing Champion onto the Executive Committee, Colin Golland, we have also taken some time to reflect on where the club would benefit from additional support.

We would like to hear from any club members who have experience in these areas, or think they can bring new energy to the roles.

Sponsorship & Fundraising - We want to surround the ground with sponsorship boards, we want to engage with our sponsors new and old! There are so many opportunities to support the club, from match ball sponsorship through to ground naming rights! Could you be the person to help us attract new sponsors to the club? We also have some exciting facilities projects in mind to ensure we are able to keep up with the needs of our members.

Social Media - Our social media presence is excellent, but with 4 senior teams, growing ladies section and thriving youth section it's too much for one person so we need more help to keep promoting all the good things going on in the club.

Social Committee - We want members from every corner of the club to help us arrange club socials, cricket might be a summer sport, but the club is open throughout the year. The bar has been set in 2023 with visits from club pros Charl Willoughby, Kasey Aldridge, Peter Trego and Lauren Filer, and the Overton Twins!

If you think you can help with these roles, either formally which would involve becoming part of the Executive Committee, or more informally as part of a relevant sub-committee, please either speak to Chair Jon Mayo, or Secretary Nicky Clarke.
