Beach race volunteers information


The Weston beach race takes place on Sat 23rd & Sun 24th September, we offer pre booked parking for this event and it’s a key fundraiser for the club and helps keep cricket as affordable as possible for all of the community.

So, we need volunteers to help make this a success. Roles will include

  • Parking marshals
  • Parking ticket gate scanners
  • Ground team
  • Kitchen / BBQ
  • Clean up post event

Shifts will be as follows – we need most of the volunteers in the main and post event team, this involves scanning in cars, parking them on the ground, seeing them off safely again, manning the BBQ etc, during the day most visitors are at the event so there is little to do, apart from ground work if the weather is wet.

Saturday 23rd September

  • Sat 7 – 11am – main team
  • Sat 11 – 4pm – cover team
  • Sat 3 – 7pm – post event team

Sunday 24th September

  • Sun 7 – 11am – main team
  • Sun 11am – 3pm – cover team
  • Sun 3 – 7pm – post event team

Members will get Pitchero invites & messages about this so PLEASE put your name in to volunteer using Pitchero, you will get allocated a shift and added in to this years What’s App group so we can share updates on the event / timings and anything else relevant.
