Under 15’s – End of season round up

The U15’s finished off another excellent season with a victory on Monday night

Despite finishing second in both the league and the club to Claverham CC, they can feel proud in their achievements, only losing two games during the entire season. Highlights included a nervy 2 wicket win against Barrow Gurney after getting reduced to 22-8, thanks to a excellent 20 not out from Jake Richards, which highlighted the strength in depth of the team.

Top run scorers were Eoin Austen with 270 runs including two 50’s, Jakob Massey with 269 runs, also with two 50’s and John Fleming with 212 runs, also with two 50’s.

What really underlines the depth of the team was the 13 different bowlers who took at least 3 wickets across the season, with Adam Whittock leading the way with 9.

The team say goodbye to Jakob, the two Adams, Jodie and Hannah from this years squad, and coaches Paul, James and Dom would like to congratulate them on an excellent youth career. Some of the players represented the U19’s this season, and will become key players for the team over the next few years.

Every single one of the team have represented the club in adult cricket, from the 5th XI up to the 2nd XI, and there is high hopes for them that they will one day go on to become 1st team players in the future.

We restart U15 training in the New Year, and are always on the look out for new players. We provide year round coaching and the chance to play games on a weekly basis as part of a successful youth set up.
