More captains appointed for 2019 season

Following the recent 1st-4th XI captaincy announcements, we are delighted to confirm further positions for the 2019 season!

5th XI: Returning the field, Mike Lee will be taking the reigns of one of the key teams at the club, which develops our youth players and gives them a great introduction to senior cricket.

Mike is a key volunteer at the club, organising the Beer & Cider festival, youth coaching and serving on the committee. He will be sharing the captaincy position with Charlie Thompson, who captained the team successfully during the second half of the 2018 season.

Charlie is an experienced sports coach, and along with sons Harry and Ollie, was an important part of the 5th XI last season. Our thanks to both for stepping up to one of the most important jobs at the club.

U19 Weston Super Kings: Our squad, who play in the Somerset U19T20 competition, will be captained by 1st XI fast bowler Tom Chambers. One of the best fast bowlers at the club, Tom will lead a team with bags of potential.

We are excited by the talent in the squad, with many of the older players regularly playing 1st/2nd XI and Someset representative cricket, plus the best emerging U15 talent coming through to add competition for places.

Good luck to all for the 2019 season!
