Following the release of updated Government and ECB guidelines, we are pleased to announce plans for youth cricket for the 2021 season
Club are running teams from Under 9's to Under 15's, with All Stars Cricket for 5-8 year olds and Dyanmos cricket for 8-11 year olds.
The Under 9's train every Sunday from 1-2pm, with Dynamos Cricket taking over that slot in the 8 weeks from 9th May to 27th June. Under 9's is a friendly softball cricket club, with emphasis on developing basic cricket skills in a fun, safe environment. They also take part in friendly tournaments against other clubs across the summer.
The Under 11's return to training on Friday 2nd April, at 6:15-7:30pm. This is the first age group where children play organised hardball cricket, with the club running two teams at this age group to give as much opportunities as possible. Games are on Sunday mornings.
Under 13's is where players start to develop more advanced cricketing skills. For this season, the Under 13's will train largely alongside the Under 15 team. Games are on Monday's and Thursday's, with the fixtures on Mondays being played in the U15 league to give more experienced U13 players greater exposure to better quality cricket.
Under 15's is the next step up, where players are also beginning to play in senior cricket on Saturdays alongside youth cricket. They will be training every Tuesday from 6-7:30pm, with games for the two teams on Monday evenings.
It all starts on week commencing 29th March as Government restrictions ease.
