Mental Health Awareness

Mental Health Awareness
12 May 2021

Looking after your mental health is so important. Just like physical health we all have mental health. In the UK 1 in 4 adults will experience a mental health problem in any given year, looking after your mental health is nothing to be ashamed of.

Physical activity is good for body and mind. It reduces the likelihood of developing problems such as depression by up to 30%.

This week is Mental Health Awareness week and the theme is Connect with Nature. Enjoy some fresh air by wandering the ground at your club is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature, if there is a game to watch at the same time then all the better. Find out more at mentalhealth.org/mhaw

Here at Weston super Mare Cricket Club we are beginning our journey to embed a culture of mental health awareness through our contact with members, players and supporters. You will be hearing more over the next few weeks as we develop this.

We are also introducing Julie, the first Mental Health Ambassador at the club. You can reach out in strict confidence at any time on support@westoncricketclub.co.uk
