First League games washed out

All three Saturday league fixtures were rained off, with only a few overs possible for the 2nd and 3rd teams

The First XI travelled to Taunton Deane with new signing Sam Elstone and the returning Ryan Davies in the squad, but the game was abandoned before a ball could be bowled, thanks to a torrential downpour.

2nd XI reached 51/2 from 12 overs batting first against local rivals Uphill Castle 1st XI, when the rain came down and the game was also abandoned.

Finally, the 3rd XI made more progress, bowling their full 40 overs against Lympsham & Belvedere 2nd XI. The home side reached 172/8 before the heavens opened.

All three sides will be hoping for better weather next week, with the 1st XI hosting Minehead, the 2nd XI heading down to face Burnham-on-Sea 1st's, and the 3rd XI hosting Uphill 3rd's on the East Ground.

There's also a fixture on Sunday, with a Friendly XI heading to Wedmore for a 40 over fixture.
